Financial partners were the Carbon County Parks and Recreation Department, the Carbon
County Tourist Promotion Agency, the Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center, and the
Switchback Gravity Railroad Foundation.
- John Halenar, great-grandson of the Indian Stairway builders, contributed the true
story of the stairway.
