The Mt. Jefferson Inclined Plane

We coast into the Bloomingdale Valley and brake to a stop at the foot the Mt. Jefferson plane. It also was designed and named by Josiah White. Smaller than the one on Mt. Pisgah, it rises 462 feet in a run of 2070 feet, a 22 percent grade It operates almost identically to Mt. Pisgah's plane, and it will lift us to our destination, Summit Hill.
